Every now and then, you meet people in your life without truly knowing the impact they'll have in your life. I met Maci a few years at my first weekend workshop hosted by Kylee. Little did I know these ladies that I'd spend a few days with, would be long term friends. 

I've been wanting to do an out of state wedding for a while now but just like everything else, it didn't get all of my focus because my to-do list is a mile long. Until I got an email from Cortnee asking me if I was free to do her sisters wedding in Idaho. Something had happened with their original photographer and her friend Maci, recommend me. My answer? HECK YES! 

I immediately contacted Maci to thank her for recommending me. Word of mouth is so incredibly important but another photographer recommending you? The biggest compliment I could ever receive. 

To make it that much better, their family was so amazing and I was able to stay with their aunt Julie who was so AWESOME and truly made me feels so welcome. The day of the wedding was a bit hectic so Julie was kind enough to take me back to the temple the next day before I left and I'm so glad she did! The temple was empty and I got the most beautiful photos.

Weddings often have an unlimited amount of moving pieces. From the venue, to flowers, cake, dress, tux, photographer and so much more. Now with Pinterest out there it can make things even more overwhelming. You have access to so many ideas to make your wedding day special and if you're not careful, it quickly becomes overwhelming.

I dont think I will ever be able to explain how amazing 

Kylee Ann's workshop was.  She put so much work into 

the entire weekend providing awesome information 

and making all of us girls feel so comfortable. 

She put 3 sessions together and this was one of them! 

She asked this adorable little family 

to be our models and they were just so cute! 

Their little boy Liam was shy in the camera but everyone 

did such a great job at helping them feel comfortable 

and he was giggling in no time! 

 

Labor Day Weekend

So this weekend I decided to take some time to spend with the family. The last few weeks have been difficult and busy so we need to recharge. It was also crazy busy so I had to readjust my shooting schedule which made taking a break a bit easier. September is going to be NUTS, so taking the time of with family was absolutely necessary. 

Saturday we went downtown to take photos of my soon to be two year old. I still cannot believe how fast he grew. I mean, how does that happen? I feel like just yesterday we were at the hospital at Intermountain Healthcare hospital in Riverton, Utah looking at our 6 pounds, 3 ounce little miracle. 

But here we are 2 years later with our little peanut that is moving, running and playing 24/7. Its true, time really does fly. I leave with a little sneak peak of our 2 year olds session and our time in Downtown Salt Lake City.

This summer I got the amazing opporutnity 

to do a shoot with local clothing store Olivia Wares Boutique.

Normally an online store opened a shop in Sugar House, Utah.

Sometimes in the process of building a photography business,

you got lost in the shuffle of succeeding. It's important to 

do shoots that are fun and help the creative juices flow. 

So I created this cute little teepee set up in Herriman and I absolutely loved it!

This couple is so perfect for each other and have the cutest itty baby. We did their first formals at Tibble Fork which is always and amazing location. 

There was a girls camp around the location we were photographing and the girls just couldn't stop starting and I couldn't blame them. 

Jason could not stop stating at Kylie and saying how beautiful she looked.

I got to second shoot this wedding with Jessica Davies Photography and had such a great time. 

So many details and fun treats like build your own fruit tart and a fun photo booth bus! 

They were married in a gorgeous barn in Draper, Utah 

right by the Draper Library.
